*original race date canceled, may be rescheduled at a later date
The 2011 schedule is now available to drink or wear:
Oooh! Please tell me that isn’t a mistake, and the races on FOX *ARE* actually going to be broadcast live? If so, maybe I’ll go to bed happy tonight. 😉
Peter~
Thanks for the post and we are all looking forward to another exciting F1 season… go…_______ Team!!
In the past, FOX has shown races with a delay with little pre-race or interviews. Their affiliates choose when to broadcast based on other sporting events, typically MLB is going strong in Summer and may take priority in some markets.
Check with your local FOX affiliate to confirm if/when they will be airing the race, I’ve experienced a published KTVU schedule ignored for the sake of a ball game, so a call by the station may be made after the fact. Rebroadcasts on SPEED, usually a few days after.
Of course – DUH. I’d forgotten about the “local affiliate” factor. Mine likes to show those four races at noon, regardless of when the race actually takes place. It’s extremely difficult and sometimes impossible for me to avoid internet spoilers for the race results. Honestly — doesn’t everyone check F1 news sites more or less constantly? No? Just me? 😉
well – it’s 3 days til Bahrain – and no sign of F1 in the Speed Channel schedule in Los Angeles (AT&T) – what gives?
duh – March 13th! I get WAY too excited about the season start! I’ll keep calm and carry on!

I would love to kick Bernie’s wrinkled old a*s over this most stupid idea of moving the races to channels other than SPEED. All this does is aggravate the heck out of F1 fans and most likely will NEVER (not a word I use lightly) get one single new fan!! This just really annoys me to no end every year when this happens. No telling when the local jerks at fox will run the race and on top of that they will no doubt (based on past years) interrupt the race several times with crap like some cricket score or something else equally ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for letting me vent just a little, Ray
well…you were wrong about not getting any new fans by broadcasting on other channels. i never saw F1 on tv b4 and now have a group of 7 new fans who eagerly await starting time on wxmi fox 17.happy viewing…go team redbull and renault
I am an Aussie now living in Seattle and I miss watching F1 on TV (just regular tv not cable) – i don’t know why they don’t show the race – it isn’t all about America and NASCAR you know!
Hello, for those that are waiting to watch the valencia race live in the us, go to Fox Sport en español
Channel 855 IN DISH NETWORK
I wonder if all the race schedule broadcasters could have a switch to list race schedules on the 24 hour clock, simular to the local time zone switches.
Hew, are these times ET or PT?
i also want to vent my absolute disagreement with the time delay on the races on FOX! what are they really thinking? this might have worked before the internet age but really they need to understand that some of us fans actually don’t mind getting up early to catch the races live on SPEED! i’m glad that it is only a few races out of each season as I think this is not the correct direction for their marketing to go. i would rather not watch TV if they option to go with a decision to air more races on a time delay schedule. that’s all for today… i’ll be happy next week when the races are back on SPEED!
I don’t know why they don’t show coverage of the F1 on general TV. NASCAR isn’t the ONLY car race happening you know!!!!
